 Uist News, Friday 29th March a cloudy but calm start to the day here on Uist after a wet and windy afternoon yesterday, the forecast for the rest of the day is looking bright and sunny with temperatures of up to 7 degrees. The weather over the Easter weekend is also expected to be calm and dry with some periods of sunshine to look forward to. Wildlife spotted on the croft recently have been - Lapwings, Oyster catchers, Wagtails, Greylag Geese and a cute little Wren who like to pop into the shed for a wee visit.

 

Miniature narcissus is just another name for a dwarf daffodil variety. Like regular-sized daffodils, they grow from fall planted bulbs and bloom in spring. The size of a dwarf daffodil depends on the variety, but generally they grow 4 to 6 inches (10-15 cm.) tall with flowers that are just one and a half inches (4 cm.).
