Uist News, Tuesday 17th June A brighter start to the day here on Uist this morning after a very wet and windy night. The forecast for the rest of the day is looking dry with some sunshine expected this afternoon. The Iris Latifolia King of the blues is in bloom just now. Just as the name suggests, it produces a deep velvety blue bloom, each boasting gorgeous white and yellow markings on each petal. This hardy plant thrives very well in our gardens as it can withstand all the unpredictable weather we have here in the Hebrides.
