Changes to services caused by the Icelandic volcanic ash plume over UK air space.

 

Hebridean Smokehouse is still posting out to UK addresses but we are not able to send any parcels overseas because of the grounding of all aircraft out of UK airspace.

 

UK addresses are presently taking an additional 24 hours to reach destinations due to all mail now going by ferry off the island and then onward by road transport - under normal conditions all mail leaves North Uist by air. Please allow 2 to 3 days for delivery by 1st Class Mail and Special Delivery is presently suspended as a 24 hour delivery option.

 

Our advice is to call us if you have an overseas destination and we will be able to give you the best estimate of the present delay.
