Malt Whisky from the Hebridean Isle of Islay typically has a powerfully pronounced peaty, smokiness and is an excellent complement to our Peat Smoked Salmon. We have chosen fine Bruichladdich "Peat" Single Malt for this gift selection which has been a beautiful glowing burnished gold colour and deep peatiness.Comprises;

The town of Dufftown on Speyside boasts more distilleries than any other and one of the finest is Balvenie. The Balvenie Doublewood is a fine example of their craft and gets it's name from the two different barrels the whisky is matured in; one a traditional oak cask and then a sherry cask to finish the process. Each cask adds qualities to the final flavour and colour of the malt - Balvenie Doublewood has tasting notes that include "gentle, warming layers of vanilla spiciness" and "fruity and honeyed". A good partner for our Beechwood Smoked Salmon.
